Glowcraft is a Christmas light installation business serving Laguna Beach, California. We design displays around the house in front of us, install them carefully, and take everything down after the season.
Who we are
Light, made by hand.
Laguna Beach has a long tradition of artists and makers, and that’s how we think about holiday lighting: as a craft. A good display isn’t a box of lights thrown over a roof. It’s a plan for one particular house, carried out with straight lines, even spacing and tidy corners.
The homes here are as individual as the coastline, from cottages a few steps from the sand to houses high on the hillsides. We want every display we install to suit the house it’s on and the view around it, and to come down after the season without leaving a mark.
How we work
Four things we hold to.
- Designed for the house
- No two homes on this coast are alike. Each design starts with the architecture and the setting in front of us, not a kit.
- Clean, deliberate lines
- Even spacing, straight runs and tidy corners. The display should look as considered in daylight as it does at night.
- Respect for your property
- Clips suited to the surface, cords routed out of sight, gardens stepped around, and the home left as we found it at takedown.
- Everything in writing
- Every project gets a written quote before anything is booked, and nothing is promised that isn't in it.
The season
How a season with us runs.
01Fall
Request a quote
Tell us about your property and what you'd like lit. We reply with a written quote that lists what's included and the price.
02Before installation
Agree the design
We confirm the rooflines, trees and entry to be lit, the light style, access to the property and an installation date that suits you.
03November to December
Install and switch on
The display goes up on the agreed date. Every run is tested and switched on before we leave.
04January
Take it all down
On a date agreed in advance, the lights, clips and cords come down and your property is left as we found it.
