How this website is built to work for everyone, and how to tell us if something gets in your way.

Our commitment

Glowcraft wants everyone to be able to learn about our services and request a quote, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, screen magnification or other assistive technology.

The standard we aim for

This website is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We consider the site to partially conform: we have built and tested it against these guidelines, but we have not had a formal third-party audit, and some content may still fall short.

What we have done

  • Pages use meaningful headings, landmarks and lists, with one main heading per page.
  • Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard, including the mobile menu, the gallery viewer and the quote form. A “Skip to main content” link is the first item on every page.
  • Keyboard focus is always visible.
  • Text and controls are designed to meet WCAG AA color contrast.
  • Photographs have text descriptions. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Every form field has a visible label. Errors are described in text, announced to screen readers, and the first field that needs attention receives focus.
  • Animations are subtle, and they are switched off if your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Pages work when zoomed to 200% and on small screens without horizontal scrolling.
  • The site is checked with automated accessibility tests (axe) on every page, at desktop and mobile sizes, as well as by hand with a keyboard.

Known limitations

  • Photo descriptions describe what each image shows, but photographs cannot convey everything about a lighting design. Ask us and we will describe a style in more detail.
  • The quote form needs JavaScript to send. If it is switched off in your browser, the form says so, and you can contact us another way.
